Ky uses traditional and alternative methods, creating dreamy and evocative images using analogue processes either in camera, without lenses such as pinhole or camera-less work using the sun and chemicals.

Ky will be running workshops on most days during the festival – see Workshops and Demonstrations.

Cyanotypes, an alternative photographic process, are a fun way to produce images and accessible to all ages, make an image and maybe also contribute to a larger piece. No need to book – just drop in.

Thursday 13th July Pinhole Camera workshop 11:30am-4:30pm £40 Concessions: £35  Book here  
Make a pinhole camera, learn how to use it, capture wonderful slow photos and process the images in a pop-up darkroom! Take a step back from the fast world of digital and learn how to make a pinhole camera.

Cyanotypes, an alternative photographic process, are a fun way to produce images and accessible to all ages. Learn how to mix your chemicals, coat and produce prints and use the material from the surrounding gardens – or bring along something with an interesting shape or an item that is semi translucent which can be used to make an image.

Saturday 15th July 12noon-4pm  Lumen / Chemigram Printing workshop: £5 No need to book – just drop in
Lumen printing is a camera-less photographic technique, learn how to produce colourful ephemeral images using a variety of subject matter. No need to book – just drop in.
