This film showcases the extraordinary art of the German choreographer Pina Bausch and her Tanztheater Wuppertal ensemble. It is a story of passion, creativity, and inspiration. Unfortunately, Pina Bausch passed away suddenly during the preparations of the film in 2009, but the director, Wim Wenders, started over and instead of a filmmaking collaboration with her, he created a film for her that will leave you in awe.
The film starts on stage with the legendary ensemble and takes you on a journey out of the theatre into the city and surrounding areas of Wuppertal, where Pina Bausch's creativity thrived for 35 years. Get ready to be swept away by the beauty and magic of PINA!
