Overview
Join us for a festive Chinese New Year Celebration with Sydenham Art, where participants explore the traditions and stories of the Lunar New Year.
The workshop begins with the fun and engaging story of the Great Zodiac Race, introducing the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs, followed by discovering your own birth sign and its unique traits.
Participants will create New Year scrolls using gold ink on red paper, learn simple Lunar New Year greetings, and enjoy cultural experiences such as tea tasting, fortune cookies, and the stories behind red letters and chocolate coin giving.
All materials and guidance are provided for a hands-on, creative celebration.
Winter Welcome Workshops are completely free to attend and run on Mondays from 12:30 to 3 PM.
