The Art Of Water Calligraphy

Overview

This calming, hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art of water calligraphy as a mindful creative practice. Suitable for all levels, the session offers a gentle space to slow down, focus and explore mark-making in a new way.

The workshop begins with a short introduction to calligraphy as both an art form and a tool for presence. Participants are introduced to the “Four Treasures” of traditional calligraphy and shown how water calligraphy works through a live demonstration.

The majority of the session is dedicated to guided practice, allowing participants to experiment with brush, movement and flow leading to floral painting using water on reusable surface. The workshop closes with simple winding-down stretches to help integrate the experience.

A focused yet accessible session designed to encourage concentration, creativity and calm.

Winter Welcome Workshops are completely free to attend and run on Mondays from 12:30 to 2:30 PM.
