Wellness Park: Workshop, Park Life 1
Did you know that Wells Park is named after medicinal springs, which were found in the area in the 17th century? Even if no-one is making pilgrimages to drink from the wells anymore, people are sill taking advantage of the therapeutic effect of bathing their senses in the park, especially at this disorienting time.
Would you like to contribute to a specially composed audio artwork for everyone to listen to, either from the comfort of home or to enhance their sensory experience of walking around the park? The piece will combine soundbites and atmospheres, reflections and interviews about the area’s history, music and sound design, solo and group singing, personal reflections and recited poems.
There will be a series of ‘park life’ workshops open to locals, families and older residents exploring the history of the park, memories of the park, sounds of the park and the natural world of the park.

This online workshop is open to anyone but particularly tailored to older local residents and will feature singing, life-writing, memory-sharing and more.
